Where? On different spots around Wynwood. All the events can be found here. This time we caught up with Pop Up Piano at Jimmyz Kitchen.

What went down: Pop Up Piano Miami features eight pianos donated by Steinway & Sons Miami and sponsors, which are scattered throughout Wynwood, Midtown, Downtown and the Design District. The Pop up Piano Miami committee is hosting events all throughout Basel Week, featuring some of these pianos at the venues. The group started off on Wednesday night, and are hosting shows at Sugarcane Miami this Friday, and Wynwood Cigar Factory on Saturday. Thursday night, they featured Krisp and Bells at Jimmy Z’s Kitchen for an intimate, free performance right outside the restaurant. The spotlight, of course, was on the piano which was decorated by Arnaud Pages.

While we were there: We caught up with the head of the Pop Up Piano Miami Committee, Isabella Acker and Whitney Lykins, better known as the ladies behind The Black Key Group. Not only do these ladies spearhead the group that makes Pop Up Piano Miami come together, they are also an artist management and marketing company associated with prominent groups.
