The Jacob Jeffries band is comprised of three gifted musicians, two of whom hail from South Florida. Front man Jacob Jeffries plays dual role as the lead singer and songwriter, joined by Eric Jackowitz and Jimmy, to create infectious pop rock goodness that is impossible to forget. The group has recently announced tour dates that take them up the East Coast and back. Jacob Jeffries gives a sneak peek into what makes him tick:
What was the name of the first song you wrote?
The first song I wrote was called “The Story.” Lyrically, it was some kind of nostalgic reflection from the perspective of an old man in his rocking chair, looking back at his young love life…
Which artists would you love to collaborate with?
Obvious and ambitious answer, Paul McCartney. Realistically, maybe Sara Bareilles.
How would you describe your music to someone who hasn’t heard it before?
Piano driven songs that make you tap your feet, and think about life.
Is there anything about South Florida that always reminds you: This is Home?
The humidity!
What album would most people be surprised to hear you love?
N’SYNC – No Strings Attached
Anything else you want to share with me?
I look forward to sharing my music with as many new people and old people as possible. Like newborns and really old people. Babies and seniors.
